'Be a Confident parent' Course

Beginning on Thursday 27th February 2014. Central College Nottingham will be running this course, the course will run for 5 weeks from 9am - 11am or 1pm - 3pm. This course will teach you how to communicate well, assertiveness skills and how to build self esteem.

Sewing Course

Central College Nottingham will be running a 10 week course at school in our Community Room.  The course starts on 3rd February 2014 from 1pm - 3pm.

This course will teach you how to make alterations to yours and your families clothes.  Our tutor will also teach you how to sew a small garment for yourself or family using a sewing machine.

The Nottingham Local Healthy Schools Programme is led and delivered through a partnership between Children's Services and the Primary Care Trust. Its aims are:.

  • To support children and young people in developing healthy behaviours
  • To help to raise pupil achievement
  • To help to reduce health inequalities
  • To help to promote social inclusion

The School has been a part of the Healthy schools organisation for a number of years, over which they have gained not only the healthy schools status but also the

  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Substance misuse and
  • Participation

Improvement awards. They continue their work towards healthy schools every year.
